Pantor ORDO is a high-performance, fault tolerant application server based on the Pantor Transaction Framework. The client-side interface to ORDO is FIX/FAST. Building upon the Pantor Transaction Framework, ORDO is able to process, translate and route orders and market data with a sub-millisecond latency while providing a throughput of hundreds of thousand messages per second and at the same time guaranteeing that transactions that have been confirmed by ORDO will withstand the loss of a server. After a single fault, recovery will be automatic and prompt regardless of the amount of data that has been processed during the day, which means that a node that has failed or lost contact with the other nodes will repair quickly, minimizing the window of vulnerability to new faults. The system avoids the delay that follows from using manual procedures in common failures and does so without incurring non-standard software or hardware requirements. Pantor Transaction Framework (TF) provides application developers with a stack of software components and operating procedures that is used for building highly reliable, high performance transaction systems. Trading applications built on top of the transaction framework scales to handle very high transaction rates while maintaining low latency, and at the same time providing the guarantee that all transactional data is commited to permanent media in two different locations before being acknowledged or disseminated. Applications built using the transaction framework automatically benefit from Majority Voting, Automated Immediate Recovery and Application Hardening, features that improve resilience to errors and robustness to application code crashes and to faults in the environment, such as random hardware errors. Pantor FAST Virtual Machine (FVM), is our third generation, complete, high performance implementation of the FAST Protocol. FVM is available as a software component as well as integrated with our software stack. The Pantor FAST Tunnel provides tunneling of FIX sessions over a FAST transport transparently to the endponts. The tunnel is used to accelerate existing FIX environments. By placing tunnel components on both sides of a wide-area network,
Pantor FIX Scalability - One threaded Pantor FAST
Tunnel process receives FIX 4.2 data over TCP sessions,
parses, and converts the messages into FAST format and
passes them on over TCP. Data set: Euronext FIX feed, June

Pantor Service Analyzer (SA) performs analysis of service response times, service usage and network load patterns, resource congestion, and more. SA is used by one of the major Swedish banks for monitoring market data dissemination latencies. It is also used by the Nordic exchanges to monitor all electronic interactions with the SAXESS system as one important means to provide a fair market. |
